Born in the crescent city in 1941, Louis Koerner was educated at Jesuit
High
School of New Orleans (1953-1958), the University of Detroit (Chemical Engineering, 1958-1961), Tulane University (BA History,
1964), and Tulane College of Law (LLB, 1967).

Louis opened his law office in 1974 at 730 Camp Street, New Orleans, just down the road from his current location. In 1979, he purchased his house at 1204 Jackson Avenue and moved his Office to the third floor of that building. There he worked uninterrupted until his roof caught fire in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. A blessing in disguise, this unfortunate incident was the impetus for Louis to branch out and serve more people. Soon thereafter he was open for business in Houma, La., with his New Orleans office reopening one year later.
